 The mission of D’Dummers Day, established as an extension of the Dolan’s Delco Mummers Parade, is to provide vital economic assistance to a local family confronting exceptional challenges arising from medical complications or traumatic events. Originating amidst the COVID-19 pandemic's disruption of the Philadelphia Mummers parade, D’Dummers Day emerged as a grassroots response by Ridley Park neighbors and dedicated mummers. What began as a modest, local celebration evolved into an annual tradition that not only revives the mummers' spirit but also serves as a year-round fundraising endeavor. At its core, D'Dummers Day embodies the spirit of community, rallying together to support our neighbors and uphold the values of solidarity and compassion. Our commitment is unwavering: to stand by our local families, recognizing that unforeseen hardships can touch any one of us, and reinforcing the ethos of unity that defines Delco.
